Whether you just want to check out the view, take a stroll, enjoy live entertainment at the pier's covered center stage, or fish all day long, visit the Apache Pier in Myrtle Beach. It's the East Coast's longest wooden fishing pier and it is open 365 days a year.

Bait & Tackle Shop: A complete supply of fishing gear, bait & tackle is available in the Apache Pier Bait & Tackle Shop. Rod & Reel rentals are available at daily rates.

Fish of the month for November is Trout, the largest one caught for the month will win a $25.00 Gift Certificate to the Apache Pier Bait and Tackle shop. Congratulations to Patsy Vanhoy for the month of October. Patsy caught a 1 lb 8 oz Whiting. Some of the catches off the pier has been Whiting, Pompano, Flounder, Trout, Red Drum, Black Drum, Blues, and some spots.

As of July 1, 2009 all individuals recreationally fishing in saltwater from shore (beach, bank, private dock, free public pier, etc.) will be required to have a fishing license. You do not need to have a fishing license to fish on Apache Pier. However there is a charge to fish on the pier. Hours of operation are 6 am - 10 pm, 7 days a week. Hope to see you soon.
