Whether you just want to check out the view, take a stroll, enjoy live entertainment at the pier's covered center stage, or fish all day long, visit the Apache Pier in Myrtle Beach. It's the East Coast's longest wooden fishing pier and it is open 365 days a year.

Bait & Tackle Shop: A complete supply of fishing gear, bait & tackle is available in the Apache Pier Bait & Tackle Shop. Rod & Reel rentals are available at daily rates.

Fish of the Month for May is Bluefish, the largest Bluefish caught in May will win a $25.00 Gift Certificate to the Apache Tackle Shop.

The winner for April 2013 was Glenn Cannady with a 1 lb 13 oz Whiting.

It�s amazing what a little good weather can do. Water temperatures continue to climb. We are now seeing the upper 60�s, and what

a difference it has made. Lisa Austin caught 2 King Mackerels on May 1, 2013; I believe these were the first to be caught on the

Grand Strand. We have also seen Whiting, Pompano, Black Drum, Red Drum, Spanish Mackerel and some Blue Fish.

Dates for the 3-day King Mackerel Tournament are June 7, 8 & 9, registration is $40.00 plus pier pass, signup begins May 25, 2013.

On June 22, 2013 Apache Pier will hold a 1-day Women�s King Mackerel Tournament. Registration is $20.00, plus pier pass.

Sign up begins June 8, 2013.
